Day 4 – feeling the support 💛

Thursday 5th Day 4 of the challenge, 4th of March & 4 new donations came through today, which is amazing for the cause. But honestly, it also just makes me feel really supported and appreciated. It’s a nice feeling knowing people are getting behind this. (444 = divine encouragement to keep moving forward ✨) Smashed out my kilometres tonight under a big full moon. The plovers were around again…we’re still mates, still no swooping 😅, so I’ll call that a win. More kilometres down, more support rolling in, and we keep moving closer to the goal. Really grateful for everyone backing this. 💛

Day 3 – old shirt, same mission 💛

Wednesday 4th Still waiting on the new challenge shirt, so the old faithful 86K tee made another appearance tonight. Trivia Tuesday it’s the crew so it was a late one out getting the steps in. Must say it’s a peaceful time to walk and think, & I’m pretty sure I’m in the good books with the local plovers, they haven’t swooped me yet 😅 86 kids will be diagnosed this month. 86 families navigating a road they never planned for. That’s the reason we keep moving, even when it’s dark, even when we’re tired. If you’ve been meaning to donate, this is your reminder. Every bit genuinely counts.

Day 2 – getting it done 💛

Monday 2nd Four hours sleep last night and I definitely didn’t get my walk done this morning. Work all day, then straight into the final painting touches at the reno. By the time I checked the clock tonight, it was late… I should have done a third coat, but the kilometres needed to happen. So I “laced up”… except I didn’t. I wore sandals. Rookie error. Regretted that decision about 800 metres in, no turning back. Not glamorous. Not perfectly planned. Just making it work. Some days you’re energised. Other days you’re running on fumes in questionable footwear. But we keep stepping forward - because the kids we’re walking for don’t get to sit it out. Another few kilometres closer to 86. 💛
