How you can help
Becoming a monthly giver
All children deserve a childhood free from cancer. Join our community of like-minded individuals who are funding future research to end the suffering of children with cancer.
Founded in 1977, the Ladies' Committee is the longest standing volunteer group at Children’s Cancer Institute raising almost $1 million for childhood cancer research. Every dollar goes directly to funding the purchasing of research equipment at Children’s Cancer Institute.
The impact of your support
$30 could protect 4 of our Researchers when working with hazardous chemicals, providing them with the necessary safety glasses and gloves.
$130 could cover the cost of DNA sequencing to identify leukaemia markers, which will be used to monitor the presence of residual leukaemic cells in a child’s body after therapy.
$500 could provide 6 months of antibody to detect abnormal proteins and help save a child’s life.
Where the money goes
Research & scientific activities to help cure childhood cancer
In 2019, 79 cents of every dollar spent within the institute was spent directly on dedicated research to help cure childhood cancer.
Fundraising activities to generate donations and increase funding
Core support services and infrastructure cost, vital to keep the institute running
