Terms & Conditions

By participating in the Dare to Cure 2026 event (“the Event”) I agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. In these terms and conditions, “Dare Providers” means Feature Creatures (ABN: 42 413 963 344), Action Event Services Pty Ltd (ABN 51 102 293 247), Black Snake Productions (ABN, 20 648 741 341), Ashley Faithfull Training Studios Pty Ltd (ABN 56 617 803 228). Cycle The Net Pty Ltd t/a BikeRental.cc (ABN 68 653 192 619), My Adventure Group (CAN 130 564 948).
  2. I have volunteered at my sole risk to raise funds for Children’s Cancer Institute Australia (ABN 41 072 279 559) (“you/your”) by undertaking an activity that will be personally challenging for me (“the Dare”) which is organised by you.
  3. As soon as possible after the Event, I will remit to you all funds I have raised along with photographs and video (“My Footage”) of the Dare for use by you in future fundraising activities including promoting future CEO Dare to Cure events.
  4. I understand and acknowledge that:
    1. the Dare may involve inherent risk and you have warned me of the risk associated with the Dare, including death or personal injury.
    2. no representation or warranties in relation to my safety and the safety of the Event including the Dare is being made by you or any of the Dare Providers.
    3. I will properly consider any risks before undertaking the Dare.
    4. The decision to participate in the Dare is entirely my own and I am free to withdraw from the Dare if I am uncomfortable proceeding. I accept and assume all risks and liabilities associated with my participation in the Dare, including but not limited to death or permanent injury.
  5. In consideration of and as a condition of acceptance of my participation in the event, I:
    1. waive, release and discharge you (including your directors, staff, agents and independent contractors, the Dare providers, volunteers and sponsors) (“the Indemnified Parties"), from all and any liability including all claims or causes of action which I might otherwise have (including for negligence) arising from any injury, loss, or damage of whatever kind suffered or sustained by me arising directly or indirectly out of my participation in the Event including my participation in the Dare; and
    2. indemnify the Indemnified Parties against any claim, action, liability, loss, damage, cost, or expense that the Indemnified Parties incur or are liable for as a result of my participation in the Event including my participation in the Dare; and
    3. agree not to bring any claim against you or any third party involved in the Dare including but not limited to the Dare providers for loss or damages, regardless of whether negligence can be demonstrated.
  6. Special terms for firewalking and glass walking Dare: In addition to the provisions of clauses 4 & 5, if I agree to undertake the firewalking and glass walking Dare, I acknowledge that I have been told that:
    1. people have been seriously injured by participating in firewalking and glass walking;
    2. that there is in fact an inherent risk in firewalking and glass walking; and
    3. if I voluntarily choose to fire walk and glass walk, there is a possibility I may receive injuries requiring medical attention and I agree to give the waivers and indemnities set out in clause 5.
  7. Special terms for Stunt Jump: In addition to other provisions in these Terms & Conditions, if I agree to undertake the Stunt Jump, I understand that:
    1. the weight limit for the Stunt Jump held in Melbourne is 100kg and I must sign an additional waiver to participate;
    2. it is not advisable to participate in the Stunt Jump if I am pregnant or have high blood pressure, a heart condition, injury or medical condition.
  8. Special terms for Red Bull Challenge: In addition to other provisions in these Terms & Conditions, if I agree to undertake the Red Bull Challenge, I understand that:
    1. I am required to pay the participation fee for the Dare of $1,250 (ex. GST).
    2. Before commencing the Dare, I must sign any additional waiver provided by the Dare Provider.
    3. To participate in the Dare, I must be under 200 cm in height and under 120 kg in weight, and I must wear enclosed shoes.
    4. In the event of bad weather, the Dare will be rescheduled to a suitable date.
  9. Special terms for 30Mtr Waterfall Abseil Dare (Sydney): In addition to other provisions in these Terms and Conditions, if I agree to undertake the 30Mtr Waterfall Abseil Challenge, I understand that:
    1. I am required to pay the participation fee for the Dare of $1,195 (ex. GST).
    2. Before commencing the Dare, I must sign any additional waiver provided by the Dare Provider including a medical declaration.
    3. You must consult a doctor for advice regarding your fitness to participate, if you have (or have recently) suffered from: Asthma or Anaphylaxis (management plans required from a doctor); Heart conditions (including high blood pressure); Diabetes; Chronic illness; An eating disorder, morbid obesity or anorexia; Recent surgery or hospitalisation (last 6 months); Pregnancy.
  10. I acknowledge that you will not insure me or my employer in relation to any aspect of the Event including the Dare, and I agree that I am responsible for all necessary insurance to cover my participation in the Event including the Dare.
  11. I agree to abide by all laws relating to the conduct of the Dare and any advice, directions, or rules of any third party involved in the Dare including the Dare Providers. If I do not comply with this clause, I understand that I may be removed from the Dare.
  12. I warrant that I am physically fit and of sound mind to participate in the Dare and I will not participate in any Dare if I am currently suffering from any medical or other condition that may impair or impede my ability to participate.
  13. I consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the Event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the Dare.
  14. I am at least eighteen (18) years old.
  15. I warrant that copyright in My Footage supplied under clause 3 is owned by me and that My Footage does not infringe the copyright, moral rights, or other rights of any third party. I indemnify and keep you indemnified against any claim by a third party in relation to My Footage. I grant you a perpetual, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use, copy, reproduce, modify, broadcast, communicate or sublicense My Footage (in whole or in part) for the promotion of the Event, you, or other events held by you in any manner or media worldwide.
  16. I authorise you to take photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings of my participation in the Event (“the Dare Footage”) and agree that all copyright in the Dare Footage will be owned solely by you.
  17. You may, on a perpetual basis, use, copy, reproduce, modify, broadcast or communicate my name, image, likeness, biographical information, voice or statement, without payment or compensation, in any manner or media worldwide, as part of My Footage, the Dare Footage or for the promotion of the Event, you or other events held by you.
  18. I have had the opportunity to review the Children’s Cancer Institute Privacy Notice below and to seek more details in relation to the Children’s Cancer Institute Privacy Statement.

Privacy Notice: Children’s Cancer Institute Australia understands the importance of protecting your privacy and complies with the Australian Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988. We collect your personal information to register you as a participant in our events and for the purpose of issuing you with a valid tax invoice. The information you provide may be shared with third party service providers engaged by Children’s Cancer Institute Australia to deliver CEO Dare to Cure. These third-party providers include the Dare Providers and:

We may also disclose your personal information for fundraising and marketing purposes, such as sending you details about other activities, special offers Australia and our sponsors. We would also like to share your email address with partners of CEO Dare to Cure. If you do not consent to your personal information being disclosed Australia as set out in this Privacy Notice, you can opt-out by emailing us at supportercare@ccia.org.au.
