Three Mates. One Massive Ride

Three Mates. One Massive Ride

"Three Mates. One Massive Ride"

1,200km across the Nullarbor to fight kids’ cancer.

We’re three mates who decided to take on something massive.

In May, we’re riding our bikes 1,200km across the Nullarbor Plain from WA to SA.

One of us was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer. It was scary. It showed us how important research really is — and how lucky we are to be healthy right now.

Not every kid gets that chance.

That’s why we’re raising money for the Children’s Cancer Institute — so more kids can grow up strong, healthy, and ready to chase big adventures like this one.

If you can support us, we’d be so grateful. Every dollar makes a difference.

My Updates

Nullarbor Prep Update: Rolling, Ready… and Well Fed

Monday 30th Mar
Preparations are ramping up for the Nullarbor ride, and the crew is starting to look the part. The boys have been putting in the kilometres, building pace and stamina. At the current rate (wind direction pending…), we’re on track for around 120km per day—which feels solid now and will probably feel very different somewhere deep into a Nullarbor headwind. Excitement levels are sky high. The reality of just how big this ride is hasn’t fully landed yet… which is probably helping morale. On the food side of things, the boys have taken a slightly more hands-on approach. Protein is well and truly sorted—Spanish mackerel and kingfish levels at 100% For now, the legs are getting stronger, the excitement’s building, and things are coming together nicely. Share the page, spread the word, and let’s get rolling !!!

1200km across the Nullarbor

Friday 6th Mar

In May this year, three mates will set out on a journey that most people would only consider from behind the wheel of a car.

We’ll be riding our push bikes 1,200 kilometres across the Nullarbor Plain, from Western Australia into South Australia. Just three friends, a few bikes, a long stretch of road, and one of the most remote landscapes in the world.

If you’ve ever driven the Nullarbor, you’ll know it’s not exactly a casual Sunday ride.

The word Nullarbor literally means “no trees.” It’s wide, raw, exposed country. Endless horizons. Big skies. Long straight roads. Headwinds that don’t care how strong you think you are.

But that’s exactly why we’re doing it.

Why Ride the Nullarbor?

Every big challenge usually starts with a simple idea between mates. Someone throws it out there and instead of laughing it off… you start planning it.

But this ride is about more than just the kilometres.

One of us knows first-hand how hard cancer can hit a family. Watching someone you love go through it changes your perspective on what really matters. It makes the hard things we choose to do feel pretty small in comparison.

So this ride is about pushing ourselves, but it’s also about raising awareness and support for families dealing with cancer.

If pedalling across one of the harshest landscapes in Australia helps shine a light on that fight, then every kilometre will be worth it.

What We’re Up Against

The Nullarbor isn’t just long. It’s unpredictable.

  • 1,200km of riding
  • Remote highways
  • Long stretches between roadhouses
  • Wild weather and crosswinds
  • Huge road trains blasting past

And of course the mental challenge. When the road stretches straight to the horizon and your legs are screaming, that’s when the real test begins.

But that’s part of the adventure.

The Plan

We’ll roll out from Western Australia in early May, heading east toward South Australia,

Some days will feel amazing.

Some days will feel like we’re pedalling into a hair dryer.

Either way, we’ll keep turning the cranks.

Why We’re Sharing the Journey

We want people to follow along.

We’ll be sharing updates, photos, stories from the road, and probably a few moments where we question our life choices halfway across the desert.

But most importantly, we hope the ride helps remind people of something simple:

Hard things are easier when you don’t face them alone.

And that’s what this ride is really about.

Three mates.

One long road.

And a cause that matters.
