Riding for Emily
I am taking part in the Ride for Em.
I will be be cycling with a small team of family and friends ~600km from Mount Kosciuszko to Wollongong in honour of my youngest daughter, Emily.
Em was diagnosed with DIPG in October 2021 and sadly passed away in May 2022 at age 5. It was a devastating and traumatic ordeal, made all the worse by how few (if any) curative treatments exist for DIPG sufferers (virtually all of whom are young children).
I am raising funds for the Children's Cancer Institute to support research for DIPG. It’s my small way of trying to make some good come out something that was so awful.
