I'm fundraising for a great cause!
We are taking part in a challenge to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
Every week, 20 kids will be diagnosed with cancer and on average 3 will lose their life. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life. Our empathy for all families who endure this battle is encouraged by our lived experience of such trauma, struggle and loss. The loss of our legendary son and brother Garvan. We relate to the emotional upheaval it is to see a loved one, battle day in and day out, suffering the perpetual torture of treatments and isolation. Garvan was one of these kids forced to endure that reality. To struggle and win the battle as a 16 year old boy and then as a young man, 4 years later to lose the battle against leukaemia, was heartbreaking. This year we commemorate the 25th year of our loss and stand in solidarity with all those who are impacted by childhood cancer.
Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.
Please DONATE NOW and support my challenge to change the lives of kids with cancer.
My enormous gratitude, admiration and respect to all who can share some love for these kids and families. Kindness is the gift that keeps giving.
