Step Out to end childhood cancer

Step Out for Cancer is a brand new, all-ages event from Tour de Cure, in partnership with Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI) and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) - uniting the community in the fight against childhood cancer.

On Sunday 9 November 2025, the inaugural Step Out for Cancer event will take place across some of Sydney’s most iconic sporting venues: the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Allianz Stadium, and Royal Randwick Racecourse.

Walk, or run on the day, then follow up your fitness-fuelled fun with live music, food trucks and entertainment at the finish line festival.

Walk - Take on the 6km stadium walk – an exclusive adventure trail through Allianz Stadium and the Sydney Cricket Ground, then across to Randwick Racecourse, with some special stops along the way. 

Run - Run the 5km or 10km Royal Randwick Racecourse loop on a tailored track with live entertainment and surprises to hype you up as you power through. 

Celebrate - Come together for the finish line festival at Royal Randwick’s Theatre of the Horse after your walk or run, and celebrate your achievement with live music, DJs, food trucks, entertainment and activities for all ages. 

Discover - Interact with Sydney’s biggest sports teams on the day including Sydney FC, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Sydney Roosters and GWS Giants, plus experience live bands, DJs, brand activations and surprise moments throughout the day.

Funds raised from Step Out for Cancer will go directly to the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre (MCCCC). This facility is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, where researchers and clinicians will work side-by-side to accelerate lifesaving discoveries.
