Support my challenge to help kids with cancer

I am taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So I am conquering 86km for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

Please DONATE NOW and support my challenge to change the lives of kids with cancer.

Walking the Scribbly Gum Track: Part 7 (Final)

Tuesday 20th Dec
The quality and quantity of green space in Brisbane always amazes me. I really must see more of it, more often. If you feel the same, then get in touch, and we can walk 86k for a Cure together. ~ The End

Walking the Scribbly Gum Track: Part 6

Tuesday 20th Dec
It’s only about 500m from the road to the lookout, and here we are looking east toward Moreton Bay. If I were a morning person I’d enjoy the sunrise, alas, I instead enjoy the other side of sunset.

Walking the Scribbly Gum Track: Part 5

Tuesday 20th Dec
As we near the top we start to see the forest take over from the suburbs. Houses adjoin the perimeter of the forest, but they’re well hidden before long. The sound of traffic gives way to the sound of the wind in the trees, and the birds overhead.

Walking the Scribbly Gum Track: Part 4

Tuesday 20th Dec
The main trails are marked well throughout the park, this sign post is about the halfway mark where Scribbly Gum Track meets the Federation Track.

Walking the Scribbly Gum Track: Part 3

Tuesday 20th Dec
The track itself is steep in parts, but it’s well graded and with the exception of a few loose stones, it’s quite an easy climb. If you take it slow, even the less fit and abled of us can enjoy most if not all of the trail. (That’s not my guarantee.)

Walking the Scribbly Gum Track: Part 2

Tuesday 20th Dec
Some may see nothing but a drainage ditch, but to me, this is a majestic creek crossing marking the real beginning of the journey.

Walking the Scribbly Gum Track: Part 1

Tuesday 20th Dec
Today I walked the Scribbly Gum and Federation track in Toohey Forest Park, aka, the side of Mount Gravatt. I started on the Logan Road entry next to the bus stop.
