For Ivy, for the 86 kids, but importantly - for a cure 💚

I’m taking on 86K for a Cure because this is a cause I am passionate about and very close to my heart.

My niece Ivy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at just 3 years old. She is alive today because of the incredible work of Children’s Cancer Institute and researchers like them. My family will never stop being grateful for that.

But the reality is tough. 3 children still lose their life to cancer every week in Australia. And more than 70% of kids who survive live with long-term side effects.

Ivy is part of that 70%.

She faces learning difficulties, nerve damage that affects her balance, cognitive delays and epilepsy which id likely linked to a cardiac arrest during a lumbar puncture needed for her treatment.

86K represents the 86 kids diagnosed every month. I’m doing this for Ivy, and for every family walking this road.
