I'm dedicating my 172km walk/run/cycle....to the 86 lovely children who are diagnosed with cancer every year in Australia.... They are true warriors...and have done nothing to deserve this.... I am dedicating this challenge to all those children who have lost their lives to cancer.....and to the ones who I have known and loved..May they rest in peace.... I am also dedicating this challenge to my youngest son who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. He has survived this cancer....but it has come at a cost....one which he alone has to bear every day..... Childhood cancer really sucks....as does all cancer.

I'm doing the 90 Km challenge in loving memory of my dad who began his journey to heaven about two months ago. For three years he fearlessly battled lung cancer. He was a cheerful being, who never ceased to see the bright side to things even in the darkest times. It is his unrelenting optimism that I'm inspired by and wanting to channel into helping patients and families who are going through their own journey. I stand strong in solidarity with those battling cancer and their families supporting them. My thoughts, prayers and love to all those who are grieving and missing their loved ones.

Kid that rock! All the little Warriors keep me going Each step I take is to help YOU all get a cure

I’m dedicating my walk to my daughter who is now in remission after being diagnosed with Cancer and undergoing Chemo at 16months old. And also to all her friends who we have lost or who are still in treatment at John Hunter Hospital.

Lynn Hyland
Initially I decided to do this walk with gratitude that our grandson is a cancer survivor after 3 years of Chemo and surgery ( 10 years ago) when he was 3. Combined with that my wish is that no other families go through that experience. We were lucky and my heart goes out to those who have lost their child or are still going through this. ❤️

I’m dedicating my 86k challenge to all kids fighting this awful disease. We had a lil man we knew that passed away a few years back at the age of 6. The toll it took on his little body was horrific but he soldiered on and did all his treatment like a champion. Andrew, this one is for you. You kids deserve so much more then any money any of us could raise. I hope this challenge can make a difference even if it’s just a little bit. It will be worth it.
