Biography
Helen Brennan BA/LLB(Hons) joined the Institute in 2018 after a career in private enterprise as general counsel, or equivalent, in companies primarily in the finance sector including Marsh & McLennan where she led the legal and compliance divisions for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Until recently, as General Counsel, Helen led the Legal, Governance and Assurance Team which is responsible for legal advisory and contract matters, risk management, compliance and assurance, research integrity and work health and safety. Having resigned as General Counsel, Helen continues as company secretary and to support the Institute by drawing on her broad commercial and legal experience to work with the Leadership Team on key strategic initiatives including the development of the Minderoo Children's Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
