Meet Robyn

Robyn is passionate about supporting the work of Children’s Cancer Institute, and her decision to leave a Bequest to the Institute was inspired by her appreciation for the work we do.

Robyn’s commitment to the Children’s Cancer Institute comes from a lifelong journey, and as she explains her nursing training where she met a young leukaemia orphan had a profound effect on her. She went on to complete her training and midwifery as well, and she has a passion for helping others in need.

After a tour of Children’s Cancer Institute where she heard Jack Kasses speaking about the quest to find a cure for childhood cancer, her commitment was cemented.

She sees the importance of continuing research to find a cure. As Robyn explains it, while we still have little children suffering, in her opinion research is such a positive way to help and to give back to the community. Her favourite film is “Pay it Forward” and she recommends everyone see it.

Now retired, she takes great interest in the children in her apartment block and while she supports other organisations she has chosen to leave a bequest to Children's Cancer Institute because she feels it will be invested wisely. In her opinion it's important to give back to the community.

Your donation will fund research that will save young lives!
