I am taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So I am conquering this challenge for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

My Updates

172K achieved!

Sunday 29th Mar
Saturday at Brimbank parkrun I clocked over the 172K mark.  Conditions were damp still managed a PB for my 5km of 40.37.  Still trying to crack the 40 minute mark for 5km.

Still feeling good and will see how many more km we can achieve.

Mid point have reached 86K!!

Sunday 15th Mar
Saturday 14th March I attened parkrun at Brimbank.  These 5km got me to 86km.  Seeing there's two weeks still left in March I've upped my target to 172km, thinking this will be achieveable.

Again thank you for the generous donations - have clicked over $2000.

A cause close to my heart. Thank you to everyone that has generously donated to such a worthy cause. 🥰 As you’re aware walking for our son who at 18months of age was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Through the wonderful resources and with support from the medical teams at the RCH, he underwent chemotherapy treatment. He is a survivor and we have had a positive outcome, over the years we still frequent the hospital to ensure that his tumour remains dormant.

I am conquering 172km to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
