Support my Challenge to Help Kids with Cancer!

I am taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So I am conquering this challenge for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

Please DONATE NOW and support my challenge to change the lives of kids with cancer.

My Updates

Day 18

Wednesday 18th Mar
I ran 3.50m, a smaller one today. I felt tired all day and the coffee machine at work was only making terrible tasting coffee, made me so sad 😢

Day 17

Tuesday 17th Mar
I ran 4.01km, I figure at this point I'm going to get to the 86km. I randomly decided to see how far past past that I can go... is it a good idea probably not but I'm going to do it anyway 😊

Day 16

Monday 16th Mar
I was feeling a little extra, I ran 4.01km, work brestie is back at work tomorrow. I thought he was off til Wednesday but we will have have him back tomorrow.

Day 15

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.51km, I was soo tired and slightly sunburnt after a big ride today. I joined Black Dog Rides for mental health, so many of us live with or know someone who is experiencing trouble with mental health. Rides like this are a great way to start conversations and know that you are alone in your struggles.

Day 12

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 8kms tonight, thanks to a feiend for the challenge. I'm so proud and I managed to keep my average pace relatively the same. Such an amazing night for a run too

Day 11

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.50km, such an exhausting day, I had my exam and to make me feel better I went for a nice ride after (see comments for the route I took if you are interested). Definitely one of my better times as well 😁

Day 10

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.52 km, a little slower than normal, I was multitasking 🤣 I was having deep convo with a bestie while running. Not the greatest idea I have had but you work with what you're given ❤️

Day 9

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.51km, it's a bit sad when the shower you get caught in while out running is heavier than the shower you have when you get home cause the water pressure in your apartment is shit 🤣 I can't wait for my exam to be over.... I can't wait for the week to be over, there will be a huge weight lifted

Day 8

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.60km, I got drenched in the rain. Apart from a small portion of the run where the rain was just going straight in my eyes it was kinda nice run. Very refreshing after spending the day at the computer studying.

Day 7

Monday 16th Mar
Today is a rest day which I am thankful for. It has been raining for little while now. With the first week drawing to a close I am amazing that I have run 20.42 km 🎉 I'm so proud of the progress I have made. There is a bit of a chaotic week coming up, l have an exam for my Chartered Accountant subject, the Black Dog Charity ride and my P's test for my riders licence just to name a few. Those that know me know I am determined when there is something I want and I know I will finish the 86 kms.

Day 6

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.40km, tried I different route today. It was a little sketchy but nice to try something new. I am finding the runs not as tiring. After the challenge is over I might see if I can work on my endurance and get back up to running 10k fairly easily like I used to 😊

Day 5

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.40km, I promised myself that these daily updates would be honest. I'm pretty stoked with my time today, especially since I tried running in my new exercise shorts and cause I have chubby thighs, they kept sliding up so I had to keep stopping or slowing down to adjust 😅

Day 4

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.40km, the amount of people I see out walking etc at 10:30 at night. I sometimes wonder what their story is, why are they out walking their dog so late. Then it makes me think, do they think the same thing about me?

Day 3

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.41km, knocked a little time off when compared my previous runs. Got to be happy with that

Day 2

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.51km, I got caught in the a light shower but it kinda made it a nice night for a run.

Day 1

Monday 16th Mar
I ran 3.3 km, I was super tired as I had a busy day but I was determined to start this challenge out strong.

I am conquering 86km to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
