Support my Challenge to Help Kids with Cancer!

I am taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So I am conquering this challenge for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

Please DONATE NOW and support my challenge to change the lives of kids with cancer.

My Updates

Morning and afternoon

Wednesday 4th Mar
Today was a good day. 9.6km halfish in the am and some this afternoon.

Start of march

Sunday 1st Mar
Wow, what a morning. The timing has blown me away. This morning as we headed out to walk. I made sure I was wearing my tshirt for the challenge. The neighbour across the roas was takingbher dog for a walk. Dog wanted to say hello so she said if we were ok could he. Then tells us he is a retired cancer therapy dog! She then told us why she moved to Qld and why her pup had been a therapy dog. Childhood Cancer!!! Thats when I mentioned the walk. Her grandaughter at the age of two was diagnosed with Leaukemia. Two years on she was in remission. However not long after it came back but more aggressive. :( She was given 6 weeks to live. However there was one option they could try. The chances of it being successful you ask?? 1%!!! What was the option? A stem cell transplant! Today that young child is a healthy teenager at 17 and studying to become a nurse!!! This is why this is important to raise funds to find a cure. To find better protocols for these children who have a whole life ahead of them who likely will contribute something amazing to society and may even bring someone you love a bit og comfort and hope! My heart is full. Michelle xx

Blown away by the generosity shown!!!

Saturday 28th Feb
Wow! I am blown away by the donations received so far! Thank you so much! As you are aware its going to a really worthy cause! 86 kids a month diagnosed with pediatric cancers. It’s far too many :( There are so many I have lost count and protocols for treatment haven’t advanced as much as they should have in decades! My hope is that we can eventually bring that number down and with research better protocols be made. The treatment is gruelling and heartbreaking. So again thank you for your donations! Tomorrow is the first day of walking those KM’s!
