Support my Challenge to Help Kids with Cancer!
This March, I’m committing to walk/run… maybe crawl 😅 124 km as part of 86K for a Cure, to support childhood cancer research.
I’ve set myself a personal fundraising goal of $1,500 (*originally $500, then $1K), and I’m taking on this challenge to test my own consistency and commitment - and to contribute in a meaningful way to a cause that matters deeply.
While I don’t personally know a child battling cancer, 86 children in Australia are diagnosed with cancer every month, and the impact on their lives and families is enormous. If pushing myself physically can help fund research that leads to safer, more effective treatments and better outcomes for kids, that feels like something worth doing.
I’ve chosen to take this on during a month that carries particular personal significance for me, which adds an extra layer of meaning to the challenge and reinforces why I’m doing it.
