Support My Heartfelt Challenge for Kids With Cancer 🤍
Wednesday 7th Jan
I’m taking on the 86K for a Cure challenge for one very personal reason — my nephew, Sekani Day.
Watching a child you love face cancer changes everything. It reshapes time, priorities, and the way you hold hope. Sekani’s strength, courage, and resilience have left a permanent mark on our family, and this journey is my way of standing beside him and all the families walking a similar path.
Every month, 86 families hear the words no parent is ever prepared for — that their child has cancer. There is often no clear cause, and treatment can stretch on for years, affecting every part of family life.
I’m committing to this challenge with my whole heart for Sekani, and for every child like him — small bodies fighting battles far bigger than they should ever have to face.
If you have a spare $5, please sling it this way 🤍
Every little bit helps families like my brother and sister-in-law so they don’t have to do the hard yards alone — the constant running back and forth from Mandurah to Perth Children’s Hospital, the fuel, the parking, the time away from work, home, and rest.
What often goes unseen are the mental health battles parents face alongside the physical fight their child is enduring. The exhaustion, the fear, the constant vigilance, and the emotional weight they carry quietly, just to keep showing up for their child. These families are strong — but they are also human, and it’s okay to say this journey takes a toll.
By donating, you’re not just supporting research and treatment — you’re standing beside families during their hardest days and helping lift some of the invisible weight they carry.
Thank you in advance for your love, compassion, and support 🤍
