I am taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So I am conquering this challenge for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

Fresh start tomor 😳

Saturday 1st Mar
Well the bar was set low with todays km’s target having to be reached with my two girls in toe. The big one led the way on the scooter and scooted the full 4km (with a quick stop at the playground). The little one in the pram. The app was tracking our activity well until I arrived home and for unknown reasons it hadn’t registered the second half of our trip and then disappeared before being uploaded. Not to worry… fresh start tomor with a solo run when the boys get home from Dad’s camp! Happy weekend everyone 🥰

Almost 4 times by original target!!!

Tuesday 18th Feb
Well I’m officially blown away as my target approaches 4 x my original goal. The days are ticking down till March and donations are still rolling in. Can I get to $500? Surely not. Much love to everyone supporting me and donating to me.

Saturday 8th Feb
Well I clearly underestimated the generosity of the people viewing my link. After less than 24 hours I’ve already achieved the goal I set out to complete. But why stop there, my new target has been set…. Let’s get to $240

Oh and I’ve recruited my 7 year old boy to be my support crew.  He’s excited to ride with me and raise funds for a cure for sick children. 

No better time than now!!

Friday 7th Feb
After polishing off a full block of chocolate in one day, I have decided it's time to put my new shoes to good use. I will be running/walking 86km (and maybe more) during the month of March to raise money for finding a cure for childhood cancer.  If you feel you can, please help me reach my target of just $100.  As a mother of three young kids, my heart breaks for the children battling a cancer diagnosis, not to mention the heart ache and pain suffered by their families.  86km is really a short walk in the battle that they face.
