I'm taking on the Wheel of Fear Dare

I'm taking part in CEO Dare to Cure 2026 in support of Children's Cancer Institute.

We all know someone who has been touched by cancer. Now imagine hearing the words 'your child has cancer'. This year more than 1,000 families will hear those words — and you may not know that cancer still kills more children in Australia than any other disease. Every week, three Australian children and adolescents will die from cancer.

As a mum of two boys, I believe that is three too many.

This cause is personal to me. A dear friend's son is a childhood cancer survivor — and he is here today because of the Children's Cancer Institute's Zero Childhood Cancer Program. ZERO provides personalised medicine to children and young adults with high-risk cancer, giving kids who might otherwise run out of options a real fighting chance. Seeing what that program meant to one family I love made me say yes to this challenge without hesitation.

That's why this year I've signed up for the Wheel of Fear — spinning a wheel to determine my fate, then coming face to face with whatever creepy crawly it lands on. Growing up in England, Australian wildlife was the stuff of legend — and not the good kind. The Wheel of Fear means I won't even know what creepy crawly encounters are coming my way. And if these brave children can face what they face every single day, I can manage whatever the wheel throws at me in October.

Please DONATE NOW to support my challenge and help fund the vital research that gives these kids a fighting chance.

Kids fighting cancer don't need miracles. They need medical research — and your support makes that possible. Thank you for being part of this.
