86K for a Cure 2026

I am running 172km to support I’m supporting an important event for some close friends whose little boy, Otis, is facing an ongoing battle with cancer. Otis has not known the life most children do. From birth, he has been fighting an extremely rare condition that has meant his “home” for much of his young life has been the hospital. His parents and older sister are some of the most beautiful, resilient people you could ever hope to meet. Despite everything, they have faced each challenge with incredible strength, focus, and determination. Otis continues to fight every single day — and I didn’t need a second invitation to help raise money for this cause. I know life is busy, finances are tight, and everyone has their own stresses and worries. But if you can spare even a few dollars, it would mean the world to this family and to children like Otis. If you’re not in a position to donate, you can still help. Go for a walk, run, swim, or cycle, and share Otis’s story. The more people who hear it, the more awareness we raise — and that awareness can make a real difference. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give. 💛

Support my Challenge to Help Kids with Cancer!

I am taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So I am conquering this challenge for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

Please DONATE NOW and support my challenge to change the lives of kids with cancer.

Slowest but best

Tuesday 3rd Mar
Today was day three of the challenge to cover the 172km. I only covered just over 4km and I took me more than 36 mins but it was the best yet! The reason being I got to run / walk with my young lad who was keen to join me and cover a few kms. It was a great chance to be active and spend some quality time together, simple things but grateful to be lucky enough to do it!
