Support my Challenge to Help Kids with Cancer!

I am taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So I am conquering this challenge for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

What an amazing turnout! A huge shoutout to the 59 incredible individuals who joined us for Week 4 on the Frenchville Track. Together, we raised over $600 for this meaningful cause—what an achievement!

The weather may have been a challenge, but it didn’t stop this determined community from showing up and making a difference. It’s truly heartwarming to be part of such a supportive and inspiring group of people. Here's to many more weeks of running for a purpose! 💪🌟

Rain or shine, our amazing Run Ugly community shows up with unstoppable determination! Despite the rain, 34 incredible people turned up this week, lacing up their shoes and embracing the challenge with unwavering commitment.

The support has been phenomenal, and donations are steadily flowing in. I couldn’t be prouder of this community and the heart you all bring to this cause. Every step, every contribution, and every ounce of effort is making a difference.

Thank you, Run Ugly family, for your dedication and generosity. Let’s keep the momentum going and take even bigger strides toward a cure! 🏃‍♀️💪

Raising Money for 86km for a Cure: A Journey of Hope and Determination

March is not just a month; it's a movement. A movement driven by the desire to make a difference, to bring hope, and to fight for a future free from cancer. This March, I am proud to embark on a mission to raise funds by participating in the "86km for a Cure" challenge. It's a journey that stretches beyond the physical distance; it's a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of community.

Every step I take, every kilometer I cover, is a step closer to a cure. The 86km challenge is more than just a number; it represents the 86 children who receive a cancer diagnosis every month. It's a reminder of their courage, their battles, and their unwavering spirit. As I lace up my shoes and hit the pavement, I carry with me the stories of these young warriors and their families.

Participating in "86km for a Cure" is not just about raising funds; it's about raising awareness. It's about shining a light on the importance of cancer research and the need for continued support. Each donation, no matter how small, contributes to groundbreaking research and innovative treatments that can change lives. Together, we can be the difference-makers, the champions of hope who believe in a brighter future.

This journey is also a personal one. It's about showing support and strength for friends and loved ones who have faced or are currently facing their own cancer battles. It's about honoring their resilience and standing by their side. Through this challenge, I hope to inspire others to join the fight, to take action, and to believe in the power of collective effort.

As I take on this 86km journey, I am reminded of the words of Helen Keller: "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." I invite you to be a part of this incredible journey. Thank you for your support and belief in this cause. Let's make a difference, one step at a time. Yesterday 57 people joined us to run, walk, shuffle for 30 minutes donating $5 to this cause. Yesterday alone we raised over $600. Grateful is an understatement.
