Support our Challenge to Help Kids with Cancer!

We're taking part in 86K for a Cure to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Every month, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. There is usually no known cause, treatment can go on for many years and it puts an enormous strain on family life.

So we're taking on this challenge throughout March for the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer each month in Australia.

Together, we can help find a cure for childhood cancer and create safer, more effective treatments.

Wednesday 18th
When I started this team I signed up for 172km with every intention of getting it done. If I’m honest, this month has been heavier than I expected. Grief has hit in ways that are hard to explain and some days just getting out the door feels like a lot. But I’ve walked 74km so far and every single one of those kilometres has meant something. What is amazing is that our team Miles for Eden has raised almost $10,000 together, which blows me away. That support means everything 🫶🏼 I’m not sure if I’ll reach the full 172km by the end of March, but I’m going to keep showing up and getting as close as I can. This has never just been about the number for me.. it’s about Eden, and honouring him in a way that matters for other kids too.

Sunday 11th
Since Eden passed, walking has quietly become part of my days. A way to move, to breathe, and to feel a little steadier when everything else felt upside down. At first, my body felt it. I had aches and pains from walking without his weight beside me, my body moving differently, pulling muscles, finding a new balance… That’s settled now. I still carry Eden with me just in a different way. There’s no big goal beyond showing up, step by step, in my own time. Thank you to those walking alongside me, in whatever way that looks like.
