On April 5th, 2025, our whole world came crashing down. One of our 13 month old twins, Remy, was diagnosed with Infant B-Cell ALL Leukemia with KMT2A-r.
Babies shouldn’t be getting diagnosed and dying of cancer. Losing their ability to walk, crawl, sit and talk. Spending their childhoods in hospital wards instead of their homes. Playing with nurses and IV lines, instead of their siblings. Being filled with toxic drugs, having invasive tests and being in so much pain they require 24/7 morphine. Parents being told there’s no other treatment options besides the ones that can cause heart failure, neurotoxicity, and neutropenia, because without it, their baby will die. Being told your baby has more chance of dying than surviving.
