Biography
Lorraine Wallis is Head of Finance at Children’s Cancer Institute and a member of the Executive Team. She has extensive experience in financial management, planning and modelling, leading teams, and process improvement. First joining the Institute in 2006, she progressed from Systems and Financial Accountant to Finance Manager before being appointed to her current position in September 2018.
Previously, Lorraine had a 20-year career in accounting and leadership positions with two employers, Energy Australia and Hillsong College. Her formative accounting experience was gained at Energy Australia (formerly Sydney Electricity), where she moved quickly through the grades, developing skills in policy and planning, financial and management accounting, cash forecasting and treasury management. She then took up the role of Business Manager and Registrar at Hillsong College where she managed finance and administration, driving change and implementing new systems during a period of rapid growth.
