Izzy our inspiration!

Izzy was our bright and happy girl, who filled every room she entered with light. She cared with an open heart and had a playful soul that made you feel like the most special person in her world. 
When she was only four she was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) on 27th August 2020. We were completely devastated and it seemed impossible that there were no treatment options that would save her life. 
Radiation therapy was the only treatment that would give us precious time to make memories. 
This gave Izzy back her ability to walk and play so we made the most of the time we had and went on so many adventures. 
Izzy went on a clinical trial, ACT001. This continued to to give us more time and hope in our hearts.
Unfortunately the tumor started to take over again and on 24th of August 2021 she passed peacefully surrounded by love. 
As a family we are passionate about doing what we can to raise our voice to find a cure. Every March we run proudly in our unicorn horns and rainbow tutus, to spread hope for a cure and joy in memory of our Izzy. 
We know that every dollar could be that dollar that is needed to find the cure. One day we will live in a world where every child has the opportunity to live a long life and follow their dreams.
