Levi Roodenburg was the kind of kid who made every room brighter the moment he walked into it.
Full of energy, laughter and personality, Levi lived life at full speed. He was always on the move, always smiling, and always looking for his next adventure. Whether he was playing football, rugby league, AFL, cricket, OzTag or simply spending time with family and friends, Levi embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and joy.Sport wasn’t just something Levi did, it was who he was. He loved being part of a team, competing with his mates, celebrating victories and picking himself up after defeats. If there was a ball to kick, throw, pass or hit, Levi wanted to be involved. His passion for sport was matched only by his love for his family, especially his sisters Olivia and Sofia, who adored their little brother.
On the 7th of November 2025, our world was turned upside down when Levi was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) — a rare, aggressive and incurable childhood brain tumour. Despite facing challenges no child should ever have to endure, Levi showed extraordinary courage, resilience and strength throughout his battle.
Levi’s journey opened our eyes to the devastating reality of DIPG and the urgent need for more research, better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. While Levi’s time with us was far too short, his impact on our lives and the lives of so many others will last forever.
Livin for Levi is about carrying forward the spirit that made Levi so special, living life to the fullest, supporting others, and creating hope for families facing this heartbreaking disease.
Together with Levi’s Project, we can honour both of Levi’s spirits alive, raise awareness, fund vital research, and help ensure that one day no family has to hear the words "Go home and make memories, sorry there is simply no cure.”
