Oscar lost his battle with brain cancer at the age of just 14. A smart and quick-witted boy, he had a cheeky sense of humour and a huge heart. He loved his family, friends and everything to do with basketball. He left a massive imprint on everyone he met.
Oscar endured brain surgery, two rounds of radiation and genetic testing of his tumour with experimental drug therapy in an attempt to fight this rare and aggressive brain cancer. So much more needs to be done to tackle this cruel disease, which can only be achieved through further research and funding.
Children's Cancer Institute exists solely to put an end to childhood cancer, through medical research.
