Matt had a rare and aggressive type of brain cancer Diffuse Hemispheric Glioma, H3 G34-mutant (G34-DHG).
Throughout and after Matt's battle with brain cancer, we learnt that there is currently no research done in Australia and very little research done internationally on this specific type of brain cancer.
Your donation will help fund research into finding effective treatments for G34-DHG and improve outcomes for others affected by this cancer in the future.

I knew Matthew through the Japanese society when I first studied at UTS. We only met couple of times. He was a bright person who have a great sense of humour. I am now studying a master of genetic counselling - a profession that support clients through tough time battling illness, understanding family history to facilitate risk management, and more importantly, help families make meaning in their life. What happened to Matty was an incredibly tragic event, but it brought us here, to love, to cherish, and to remember Matthew. I wish Matty's family all the best and well in the future.
