Biography
Kate joined Children’s Cancer Institute in July 2020 to head the People and Culture team. In this role, her focus is on empowering staff to deliver on the Institute’s mission, and driving new models of working to unlock potential and create opportunities in a period of transformational growth.
Prior to joining the Institute, Kate worked as People and Communications Director at Estia Health, and Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Director at Bupa, leading a diverse people, culture, and communications portfolio for 7000+ staff.
Kate has more than 20 years’ experience across the government, not-for-profit and private sectors, encompassing multiple industries including education, defence, telecoms, manufacturing, retail, health, aged care, disability, and community. Founder of a social enterprise to expand opportunities for women, she has won multiple awards during her career, including an Australian Human Resources Institute award for innovation and creativity, an Australian Digital Media Award for a government relations campaign, and a National Aged Care Quality Practice Award for an emerging leader program.
