CCIA’s Benefactor Awards are an honour bestowed to organisations and individuals that have shown inspirational support for CCIA.  Since 1996, each year, the CCIA board receives recommendations for the Benefactors Award outlining the person or organisations size and length of past commitment and the Board select up to five winners that are then presented with the award at a special ceremony organised by the Institute. 

Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Governor of New South Wales, who is herself a strong supporter of CCIA, has presented the awards to CCIA Benefactors for many years along with CCIA’s executive director and chairman.  Benefactors are then listed in the foyer of the Lowy Cancer Research Centre under the year of their appointment.
