"We are in the race, the race with a deadly disease. If we can spend more money on research, we can find a cure faster and fewer children will die." Dr Kacper Jankowski, CCIA researcher, cancer survivor.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Children's Cancer Institute Australia for Medical Research (CCIA) has launched a new campaign to raise $10 million to consolidate our vital research growth and fund 80 new world-class researchers.
For the months of September and October we ask you to support us so that we can move one step closer to defeating childhood cancer within the lifetime of a child born in 2020.
We can make this bold promise now because our new home, the Lowy Cancer Research Centre, is currently under construction. This will be the largest dedicated cancer research facility in the country, allowing us to increase the speed at which we can complete our goal of finding a cure for childhood cancer.
The campaign has been developed and provided by a number of wonderful pro-bono supporters, inlcuding Singleton, Ogilvy & Mather, St.George Bank and Pulse Communications, which means that more money will go straight to research.
Please join with us on the next crucial phase, because every child deserves to live happily ever after. Donate today.
