Welcome to Children's Cancer Institute Australia

More than 600 Australian children will be diagnosed with cancer this year. This week alone, three Australian children will die of cancer

Children's Cancer Institute Australia for Medical Research (CCIA) is the only independent medical research institute in Australia dedicated to research into the causes, prevention, better treatments and ultimately a cure for childhood cancer.

Our vision is to save the lives of all children with cancer and eliminate their suffering.

Our mission
To be a leader in preventing cancer and finding ways of curing cancer in children through world-class research.
To ensure the best possible quality of life for these children and their families.
To share the vision with others and increase awareness, participation and funding.

Our logo boy is Joshua Barry. At the age of 16 months, he was diagnosed with an agressive form of Neuroblastoma and tragically passed away just before his second birthday. Capturing the hearts of researchers at CCIA with his story and photograph, his powerful image became our logo and a symbol to drive our researchers to find a cure for all children with cancer.

ACRF logoACRF is the proud supporter of CCIA's 'ACRF Drug Discovery Centre for Childhood Cancer', which will be housed in the Lowy Cancer Research Centre www.acrf.com.au  Fact Sheet here
